Assisted Suicide is Not Legal

2024-2025—Virginia introduced two companion bills (HB 858 and SB 280) that would legalize assisted suicide. These bills represent the most radical and dangerous policy in the nation. See Dr. Sharon Quick’s written statement opposing these bills. The Senate passed a substitute version of SB280, and it has been carried over to 2025.
