Assisted Suicide is not legal

2025—HB 471/ SB 1700, which would legalize medically-assisted suicide, were introduced. HB 471 died in the Health Professions & Programs Subcommittee, and SB 1700 died in the Judiciary Committee.

2024—HB 561 dies in House Health Care Regulation Subcommittee.

2023—S864, “An Act Relating to Death with Dignity Act,” and HB1231, “An act relating to end-of-life options,” introduced and assigned to Senate Health Policy Committee and the House Health Care Regulation Subcommittee, respectively. Both bills died in their committees.

HB 561 introduced, referred to House Health Care Regulation Subcommittee, carried over to 2024.

2020—SB 1800, “An Act Relating to Death with Dignity Act,” introduced, died in Health Policy committee.
